- Is UltraWood really low maintenance and paint free? correct! Ultrashield's color technology overlaid creates a very good layer of resistance to stains, scratches and fading. In addition, the armor is impervious to water so no labor is required as with conventional lumber. Regular sweeping and cleaning is still needed to clear debris and dirt.
